Bible Answer

When to move country?

Where we live, our country is going faster and faster down the path of self-destruction – communism, atheism, racism with genocide on the rise – many did, are and plan to emigrate. We believe God planted this nation for his glory, but if we leave are we being unfaithful to working for that purpose? An opportunity has come about in a new country, away from the violence and corruption. Is it wrong to think the Lord is providing us an alternative?

Simply put, we cannot say what the Lord desires for you and your family.

On the other hand, we do suspect you are placing too much emphasis on your earthly dwelling place at the expense of living with eyes for eternity. The Bible says that your country cannot be found anywhere in this world. Rather, your country is in Heaven:

Heb. 11:15 And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return.
Heb. 11:16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them.
Heb. 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels,
Heb. 12:23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,

We advise you to place no importance on the place you dwell while on earth. There is no such thing as a godly nation in these days, and there is no one nation better than another. This world belongs to Satan for a time, and until Christ returns there is no holy or righteous nation anywhere. Furthermore, God has not set any Gentile nation above another. Only Israel has special significance in God’s plan, according to Scripture.

So serve God wherever you are/may be for the purpose of building His Kingdom and place no emphasis or importance on the earthly location you dwell. Our country hasn’t appeared yet.
